This 9-day journey takes you through Accra, the Eastern Region, and Cape Coast for a powerful blend of culture, celebration, nature, and heritage. The trip features multiple nights at the world-famous AfroFuture Festival 2026, celebrating African music, fashion, art, and global creativity.

You’ll explore Accra’s key historical landmarks, enjoy hands-on cultural experiences like local drumming and Ghanaian cooking, and travel to the Eastern Region to visit Aburi Botanical Gardens and Asemena Waterfalls. The New Year is welcomed with reflection and renewal at Labadi Beach, followed by a traditional naming ceremony at Assin Manso.

The journey continues with an ancestral connection experience at Cape Coast and Elmina Castles, including the historic Door of No Return, and a visit to the Kakum Rainforest Canopy Walkway. The trip includes accommodation, daily breakfast, private transportation, airport transfers, and expert local guides—offering a meaningful and unforgettable Ghana experience.

And also the UNESCO Heritage site, where in the fourteenth century Elimina Castle andthe sixteenth century

Cape Coast Castle became one of the most important stops of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Elmina

Castle is the home of the infamous "Door of No Return".

27TH DECEMBER,2026 (Day 1)

Arrive in Accra, Ghana. You will be met at the airport by Root Tours representatives who will assist you with your transfer from the airport to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink at the hotel and participate in an orientation session.

28TH DECEMBER,2026(Day 2)

》Get To Know Accra

Today, we will explore the best of Accra. Our city tour will take us to famous landmarks such as the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Museum, Independence Square, and the W.E.B. Du Bois Center. We will learn the history of this beautiful country and its relationship with famous Pan- Africanists. Visit Accra Art Center for local Drumming Lessons.

After our tour, we'll head back to the hotel, and on the night we attended the Afrofuture Festival.

29TH DECEMBER,2026(Day 3)

Today offers a rich cultural experience centered on Ghanaian cuisine. Guests will explore local markets, take part in a traditional cooking class using fresh ingredients, and conclude the day with an exciting night at the AfroFuture Festival. Breakfast and lunch provided.

30 TH DECEMBER,2026(Day 4)

After breakfast, we depart Accra for the Eastern Region to explore some of Ghana’s most scenic landscapes. Our journey takes us to the Asemena Waterfall in the Okere District, followed by a visit to the serene Aburi Botanical Gardens. Breakfast included.

31ST DECEMBER, 2026(Day 5)

This time is set aside for relaxation and personal leisure. Guests are free to unwind and enjoy time at their own pace. In the evening, we prepare for an exciting 31st night celebration at Polo Beach Club.

1ST JANUARY,2027 (Day 6)

ANCESTRAL CONNECTION /CAPE COAST CASTLE

After breakfast, we set out on a meaningful heritage journey to the historic Assin Manso Slave River, where enslaved Africans took their last bath before the Middle Passage. Guests will then take part in a traditional naming ceremony, symbolizing reconnection and cultural identity, followed by a guided tour of the iconic Cape Coast Castle.

Overnight stay at Coconut Groove Hotel (Cape Coast).

2ND JANUARY,2027(Day 7)

After breakfast, we travel to Elmina to experience the vibrant Elmina Fishing Market, offering a glimpse into the daily life of local fishermen. We then proceed to Kakum National Park for the famous canopy walkway experience. After the tour, we drive back to Accra.

3RD JANUARY, 2026(Day 8)

After breakfast, we explore the scenic Shai Hills Resource Reserve, home to wildlife and beautiful landscapes. The day continues with a peaceful boat-riding experience at Afrikiko River Front Resort.

4TH JANUARY, 2026 (Day 9)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and say goodbye to your newfound friends as you return home. You will have a day-room to relax before you are transferred to the airport for your flight home.
